3 Unique Coffee Shops in Nashville You Have to Try (Local Favorites)
If you’ve spent any time in Nashville, you already know there’s no shortage of coffee shops.
But like most cities, it’s easy to default to the same few spots or big-name chains.
One of our favorite things to do is find places that feel a little different. Coffee shops with personality. Places you’d actually want to hang out, not just grab something and leave!
So we spent a day checking out a few of our favorite local spots, and these three stood out.

This one is easily one of the most unique coffee shops in Nashville.
Glasshaus isn’t just a coffee shop. It’s also a working glass-blowing studio and creative space.
You can literally sit there with your drink and watch people making glass pieces right in front of you. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can book a class and make something yourself.
The whole place has a creative, almost industrial vibe that fits perfectly with the Wedgwood-Houston neighborhood.
What to try:
Brown Sugar Rosemary Latte
Just down the road from Glasshaus, Babu has a completely different feel.
It’s smaller, more intimate, and very design-forward. The kind of place you walk into and immediately feel like someone put a lot of thought into every detail.
Babu blends coffee and cocktails in a really unique way, with an Indian-inspired menu and flavor combinations you don’t see everywhere.
It’s one of those places where you go in expecting coffee and end up trying something you didn’t even know existed.
What to try:
Old Fashioned Love
(bourbon, vanilla, and a torched crème brûlée topping)
Haraz is completely different from your typical coffee shop.
It’s a Yemeni coffee house, and the experience is built more around sitting, connecting, and slowing down than grabbing something on the go.
The flavors are bold and different, with spices and preparation styles you don’t usually find in American coffee shops.
It’s also a great place to go with friends or spend some time hanging out instead of rushing out the door.

Nashville is more than country music and southern culture.
One of the best ways to experience that is by exploring local coffee shops like these. Each one has its own vibe, its own community, and its own story.
You can be ten minutes apart in this city and have a completely different day-to-day experience depending on where you live.
Spots like Glasshaus, Babu, and Haraz are a big part of what make neighborhoods like Wedgwood-Houston and East Nashville feel the way they do.
